The Primal Blueprint, Mark Sisson

The Primal Blueprint, Mark Sisson

A masterpiece, not only in terms of motivation: the Primal Blueprint by Mark Sisson. It is not the first book on that subject, but it is one of the most motivating. Mark Sisson not only describes the Primal Blueprint Nutrition program, but also gives a detailed insight into 10 simple rules that you need to respect for a healthy living:

  1. Eat plants and animals
  2. Avoid poisonous things
  3. Move frequently at a slow pace
  4. Lift heavy things
  5. Sprint once in a while
  6. Get adequate sleep
  7. Play
  8. Get adequate sunlight
  9. Avoid stupid mistakes
  10. Use your brain

This all sounds so self evident that it is quite surprising, looking around, that almost nobody respects those 10 rules. When you go after this book you will abandon the flawed conventional wisdom that still claims that you should avoid fat, eat grains, count calories and train hard. Going Primal means increasing the (good) fats, avoiding grains and legumes, stopping with chronic exercise. Common wisdom has made us fat, sick and stressed out. This book will show you that it can be easy to turn around.
